Nordic Drives Group acquires Aalestrup Elektro ApS

On April 5th, 2024, Nordic Drives Group, which is part of MVI Fund II, closed yet another acquisition in Denmark. This time Aalestrup Elektro ApS.

Aalestrup Elektro is a well-established company in the electromechanical business and was founded in 1957. The company is a high quality, full range provider of service, repairs, products, spare parts, cabinet builds with excellent 24hour service capabilities that fulfils the customers need of solutions for demanding tasks. The three electromechanical workshops Aalestrup Elektro comprises of are located in Aalestrup, Aars and Skive with a total of 25 highly skilled employees. Henrik and Lars D. Hansen who are the previous owners have a great reputation in the industry and are very experienced, having successfully run the business for many years, and will continue to do so.

Nordic Drives Group is MVI’s industrial roll-up within the OEM and aftermarket for industrial electric motors and frequency converters and the acquisition of Aalestrup further supports the goal of being the leading partner for motors and drives in the Northern Europe.

We welcome Ceilog AB and Michael Östman
to EMI AB and Nordic Drives Group

Michael Östman started the company back in 1997 and has been working as a consultant to the forest industry as an electric design engineer but also as a programmer. Ceilog AB and Michael will be incorporated into EMI in Kramfors and will continue to service the industries and continue working with big projects, mainly for the sawmills in the region. “This is a lift for the whole team at EMI. Michaels good reputation, experience and skills are very valuable for EMI and he will be a mentor for the younger colleagues to ensure a continued seamless service for years to come” says Pär Kvarnberg, Managing Director at EMI AB.

Micael Östman fills in: “It feels good to be part of something bigger where I can contribute to the EMI team to further strengthen our offerings to our customers.”

we acquire Midtjydsk elektro a/s

On the 31st of August 2023, Nordic Drives Group, which is part of MVI Fund II, closed the add-on acquisition of Midtjydsk Elektro A/S.

Midtjydsk is specialized in the sale and aftermarket servicing of electrical motors and related equipment as well as cranes and lifting equipment. The Company, based in Herning (Denmark), is owned by Michael Hougesen and Karsten Jakobsen who both have significant experience from the industry. The Company has been able to grow over recent years, both within the recurring customer base and new accounts as well as a continuing having a strong position in the crane and lifting equipment market.

Nordic Drives Group is MVI’s industrial roll-up within the OEM and aftermarket for industrial electric motors and frequency converters and the acquisition supports the goal of being the leading partner for motors and drives in Northern Europe.
