Nordic Drives Group acquires Midtjydsk Elektro A/S

Midtjydsk Elektro specializes in the sale and aftermarket servicing of electrical motors and related equipment as well as cranes and lifting equipment. The Company, based in Herning (Denmark), is owned by Michael Hougesen and Karsten Jakobsen, who have significant industry experience. The company has been able to grow over recent years, both within the recurring customer base and new accounts and a continuing strong position in the crane and lifting equipment market.
Nordic Drives Group is MVI’s industrial roll-up within the OEM and aftermarket for industrial electric motors and frequency converters and the acquisition supports the goal of being the leading partner for motors and drives in Northern Europe.
Karsten Jakobsen, owner of Midtjydsk says, "The synergies we can realize with Nordic Drives Group are strong and we are looking forward to expanding on both the electromechanical and the crane business going forward."
