Six months after the merger: Nordic Drives Group Söderhamn reflects on the journey
2024-11-22
A collaborative approach to merging teams
Merging two teams with different workflows always involves some initial nervousness. While there’s still work to be done in organizing the workshop, the core functions and collaboration between the employees are running smoothly. Our team at Nordic Drives Group Söderhamn have chosen to allow each group to continue using their established working methods to foster an open and flexible work environment.
– We’ve decided to keep an open approach without micromanaging. If one team works in one way and another works differently, that’s fine – as long as the final product is high-quality, Patrik Holm, CEO at Nordic Drives Group Söderhamn says.
Benefits for the customers
One of the biggest advantages of the merger is increased capacity.
– We have a bigger team now, which makes us less vulnerable to sudden changes since we can reprioritize and reassign staff as needed, Patrik says.
Customers have also started to see the benefits, especially those who previously had to work with both companies for different services. Now they can get everything in one place, reducing the need to make multiple stops.
They haven't only found their rhythm within the company – they’ve also started seeing the benefits of being part of a larger group after they joined Nordic Drives Group.
– We see the advantages of collaborating with other units within Nordic Drives Group. Slowly but surely, a strong sense of community across the group is taking shape, and we’re all benefiting from it, he adds.
Looking toward the future
With this positive development, Nordic Drives Group Söderhamn looks forward to continued growth. A new team member will be joining soon, and the plan is to recruit at least one more person later in 2025.
Currently, the team is focused on meeting delivery times for their existing customers, but they aim to take on additional projects and expand further in the future. And we are very excited to continue following your journey!
