Midtjydsk Kran & Elektro delivers complete crane systems for Flexi Group
2026-10-27
As manufacturing operations scale, internal logistics and material flow become critical success factors. For Flexi Group’s new state-of-the-art facility in the Central and Western Jutland region, the goal was to unite administration, production and warehousing under one roof. To ensure maximum productivity and safety on the factory floor, they needed comprehensive crane solutions tailored to their specific operational zones.

Entrusted with this critical part of the new facility, our team at Midtjydsk Kran & Elektro approached the project with a consultative mindset. We focused not just on lifting capacity, but on how each crane could integrate seamlessly into the daily workflows of the operators.
Tailored solutions for complex workflows
Selecting the right industrial cranes requires precision engineering and an understanding of ergonomics and safety. Working in close collaboration with Flexi Group, our experts mapped out the specific handling requirements across the different production halls to optimize every step of the manufacturing process:
Welding, cutting & assembly: In one production hall, we engineered a dynamic setup with two 1,000 kg cranes over the manual welding stations and a jib crane for other tasks.
Cutting & sheet metal processing: The second production hall was designed around forming and sheet metal processing. To support the press brakes and laser cutting machinery, we installed robust 1,000 kg overhead traveling cranes equipped with a vacuum lifter. This custom-tailored solution allows operators to safely and ergonomically maneuver raw steel sheets weighing up to 1,000 kg.
In total, the comprehensive delivery included five overhead traveling cranes, one jib crane and all associated custom lifting accessories.

Seamless project execution from start to finish
At Midtjydsk Kran & Elektro, a project isn't complete until it operates flawlessly in its real-world environment. Initial planning and dialogue began in September 2025, laying the foundation for a highly structured execution phase.
We managed the entire installation process, including mechanical positioning, precision alignment and thorough safety testing of emergency stops and load capacities. Thanks to proactive project management, the entire crane project was officially approved and handed over in April 2026, well ahead of the project's strict May deadline.

By listening closely to operational needs and engineering fit-for-purpose solutions, Midtjydsk Kran & Elektro has helped equip Flexi Group’s new facility for long-term productivity and safe, efficient daily operations.
